SCHEDULER/PLANNER


Position Summary

The Scheduler/ Planner is responsible for working with the shop to plan and maintain repair jobs, source goods and services, monitor material inventories, prepare cost estimates for sales plus monitor and correct job cost time entries. This position works under the Branch Manager and collaborates with larger branch operations team for an overall, positive customer experience.

Position Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop quotes for inspection and repair of reciprocating compressor equipment.
  • Actively monitor repairs throughout the entire process from order entry to final shipment ensuring quoted completion date is met.
  • Source parts, materials and services as required.
  • Work with operations team to meet monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Promptly address customer related issues.
  • Regular in office attendance required to collaborate and address customer needs and issues with management/operations team.
  • Monitor and correct job cost time entries.
Certifications/Skills:
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools including Oracle and SAP.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills
  • Multi–task and manage time in order to accomplish all tasks in a timely manner with high level of accuracy.
Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent related experience.

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a repair shop setting.

Physical Requirements:
  • Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 5 pounds constantly.
  • Regular on–time and in office attendance is required.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time and throughout the day in an office and machine shop environment.
  • Duties require verbal communication abilities, visual acuity, accuracy in reading data, and manual coordination and dexterity in handling computer and office equipment.
